The Profi mop is good for cleaning larger areas. Micro fibre performs well as a mop head. The mop's swivel joint allows the head to be steered into all corners. To rinse the mop head simply press the lever and allow the mechanism to open. Wash the head in your chosen solution. Drop onto the floor and insert the head mechanism into the mop pockets, press to lock and start cleaning. On an average floor the mop will not need to be rinsed during the cleaning as the thick mop fibres hold onto the dirt and grime. If the floor is particularly dirty, rinse the head and continue. When the cleaning is complete the fabric head should be removed and washed at up to 60 degree Celsius. Micro fibre is a good material for cleaning. The Profi mop's fibres are dense and fine. This allows them to reach into crevices across the surface being cleaned and mechanically lift the dirt out. Consequently less detergent is required; it's good for the environment. The other benefit of the thick micro fibre is that the fibres hold onto dirt particles. This means that the mop does not have to be washed out so frequently. Traditional materials hold the dirt on their surface and if not quickly washed off is they simply spread dirt across the floor with each wipe.The steerable head will allow figure of eight cleaning. This is the way professionals clean a larger area. Go to the furthest corner of the room and wipe the mop across the floor. At the end of the wipe twist the handle so that the leading edge of the mop can now came back the other way. At the end of this next wipe twist the handle again completing an '8' shape, this allows the floor to be wiped and swept at the same time. larger pieces of dirt such as stones, cornflakes etc will be swept along by the mop and can be pick up with a dust pan and brush later. Mops that simply wipe backwards and forwards cannot be used in this way.Micro fibre is also a good material for cleaning real wood floors. Water is not a friend of such floors. So simply lightly dampen the mop head and let the dense micro fibres do the work - lifting off the dirt.
